Selected to the 2017 USA Basketball Women's U16 National Team on May 31, 2017, after having been named as a finalist on May 29, 2017.Played on Denver at the 2017 USA Basketball 3x3 U18 National Tournament April 8-9 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, finishing in second place.  High School Honors •2017 Aurora Sentinel Player of the Year. •2017 Aurora Sentinel All-Continental League first team.  High School Notes  •Has played two varsity seasons at Regius Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colorado. •Lists career single-game highs of 32 points, 17 rebounds, three assists, seven blocked shots and five steals, all recorded during the 2016-17 season. •Has started in 27 of 51 career games and has amassed career totals of 567 points, 449 rebounds, 59 assists, 83 steals and 119 blocked shots. •As a sophomore in 2016-17, started in 25 of 26 games and averaged 15.7 ppg., 11.6 rpg., 1.6 apg., 2.6 spg. and 3.2 bpg. to help her team to a 20-7 record and the state tournament semifinals; missed time early in the season due to an ankle injury. •Became the first girl to dunk in a Colorado high school game, getting a steal at midcourt and throwing it down with her right hand in a 78-23 win over in-state opponent Grand Junction on Jan. 6, 2017. •As a freshman in 2015-16, started in two of 25 games and averaged 6.3 ppg., 5.9 rpg. and 1.5 bpg. to help her team to a 16-9 record. •Plays in the summer for Mile Hi Magic. •As a freshman in 2015-16, placed third in the state in doubles tennis.  Is right handed. •First played basketball during her freshman year of high school, because she thought it was something fun that she could actually be good at. •Loves to read and play with her siblings. •LeBron James is her favorite player •Serena Williams is her favorite Olympian as a great role model for her work ethic and dedication to tennis •Math is her favorite class.  •“Stay” by Alessia Cara is her most played song. •Skittles are her favorite pregame snack. •Draws inspiration from her friends and family. •Her two biggest accomplishments are being the first girl in Colorado to dunk and winning her team’s MVP award after playing basketball for only two years. •Her ultimate achievements would be to get her degree as a doctor and then later win the presidential race.

Ancestors from Cameroon, West Africa

Paternal grandparents: Honorable Joseph Belibi, retired Justice Supreme Court, former Attorney General currently international justice consultant  and Marie-Therese Belibi international businesswoman (deceased)

Maternal grandparents: Louis Francklin Essengue, Juris Doctor(JD) and CPA (deceased) and Hana Essengue, real estate developer, prolific businesswoman (deceased)

Parents: Met in medical school in Europe although born in Cameroun. Father is  Franck Belibi, M.D., Internal Medicine and Nephrology specialist  and mother is Suzanne E. Belibi, M.D., Pediatrician, Allergy & Immunology specialist, Entrepreneur and Youth mentor.

Siblings: Fabiola, Hana and Franck


Athletes in the family

  1. Paternal grandpa was a talented soccer player while in Law school and an avid tennis player
  2. Father was a talented soccer player in high school and played tennis for fun
  3. Mother was a fast runner as well as high jumper in high school and also played handball
